2026 October Prayer Corps

I recently saw an online post that spoke to my heart. It reminded me of how God views my prayers and how He, in His sovereign wisdom and power, uses every one of them to accomplish His divine purposes. Here are some excerpts from that post:
As I was rummaging through a storage drawer, I found an old patch from my days as a police officer. It was a recognition for the participants on our pistol team from more than 50 years ago... It wasn’t by accident that I got a Top-Gun award that year… I began my training from boyhood and spent years target-practicing and learning to hit the bullseye. I shot thousands of pellets into our old backyard fence, which eventually collapsed after 10 years of being a target.
The patch reminded me that one meaning of intercession is to “strike the mark.” God looks for willing participants to train for spiritual warfare. He fills His hands with glory, power and light to empower us and command our prayers to “strike the mark.”
If even a remnant will respond to God’s mandate to intercede for our families, communities, nation and world, we will experience breakthroughs and turnarounds (see 2Sam 5:17-25). Under the anointing of Jesus, we enforce what He won for us on the Cross.
Like King Jehoshaphat, we too do not know what to do except to keep our eyes on the Lord. We cannot depend on our strength or understanding to deal with what comes against us. When we believe in the Lord our God and keep focused on Him, we will be able to stand firm. When we believe the words of His prophets recorded throughout Scripture, we will succeed.
God Himself will fight for us and judge the injustice our enemies have perpetrated. Our valley of trepidation and dismay will be named the Valley of Blessing. All the people on the face of the earth will know that God is with us, and He gives us rest on every side (see 2Chron 20:5-30).
My wife and I ask for fortitude to remain persistent in our practice of waiting on God. To intercede is to participate with Him, move at His word, and “strike the mark.”

STAYING ON TARGET
Our views and feelings about the effectiveness of our prayers can be very different than our God Who hears them. And, of course, the devil will do everything he can to stop our essential Kingdom warfare. He and his minions work to hinder, discourage and keep us from praying – because they know with certainty that Yahweh hears and answers every time we call upon Him.
So keep praying! No prayer is too small, no utterance too weak. Even when the results, or the change, or the victory, seem further away, let us not lose hope. Every “pellet of spoken prayer” keeps weakening the fence, and it will eventually fall!
May we rise once again and reaffirm our faith in God, putting our full trust in Him. For now we must live in the realm of faith, not limited to the realm of what we can see (2Cor 5:7).

PRAYER POINTS THIS MONTH
1. THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
Brutal persecution against Christians is rising worldwide, and you will rarely see this reported in mainstream media. Though many nations could be included, some of the worst atrocities are taking place in Afghanistan, Turkey, Vietnam, India, Nigeria, and many nations in West Africa.
Please pray:
Please pray:
- That persecuted Believers would have a clear sense of God’s mighty presence with them.
- For courage, strength, boldness, wisdom and protection for Christians, and that their faith in Christ would be an undeniable testimony to their persecutors long afterward.
- That laborers would be sent into these challenging harvest fields, to disciple and also bring discipleship materials in relevant languages.
- For changes in governments, laws, personnel and culture that would be more favorable toward Christianity.
- To bind up every demonic work that compels others to kill, steal and destroy.
- For protection and safe, creative ways for believers to still gather for encouragement, teaching and fellowship.
2. USA ELECTIONS
Critical midterm elections will take place in the USA in November. This nation still wields considerable influence in global economies, cultures and governments. With less of a Judeo-Christian ethic as its guide, and communist and Islamic values infiltrating the ranks, the USA elections are serious and will greatly impact underlying morals and values, law and policies both in the USA and worldwide.
Every person will be accountable for either standing against evil or promoting it (Jas 4:17). Every vote does matter, and it is both the privilege and responsibility of every citizen. No candidate will be perfect, but the policies they endorse will either build up or destroy.

Please pray:
- For God’s best and highest will to be carried out in this election.
- That all deception, fraud and corruption would be revealed and negated, and prosecuted.
- That every person legally entitled to vote would do so with wisdom and maturity, not voting for personalities, but for policies that will establish righteousness in the land.
- For the Church to truly grasp that neither a human or political party can establish the Kingdom of God, but rather it will be by Holy Spirit led intercession (1Tim 2:1-6,8). We are charged to enforce and establish God’s will in prayer, and influence for righteousness.
WORLD MAP PRAYER POINTS
- FOUNDATIONS FOR MINISTRY – There is one final chapter to record for the extensive video/audio Bible series about the Holy Spirit. And the massive project of editing and adding graphics is already underway for the already recorded chapters. Thank you for keeping this important audio/video project in your prayers!
- SHEPHERD’S STAFF – A first ever shipment of Shepherd’s Staff to Kenya is still held up in port. Please pray for the swift and honest clearance of these books through the customs process, and then for the safe delivery of these thousands of books to our Kenyan distribution center.
Conclusion
We need not ask, “can you hear me now?” or worry about coverage when we pray. The clear and unbroken connection between God and each one of us has been firmly established by Jesus Christ, for ALL who have received His salvation by faith. There is no secret formula or method to coerce our loving Father to bend low and hear our every word – for He is already available anytime, anywhere, in any way. So let us bring our prayers before Him and trust Him for the perfect answer in His perfect time, as we pray according to His Word and will.
For He hears us,
