2024 January Prayer Corps

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only that, we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance [endurance], and perseverance character, and character, hope.

Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us (Rom 5:1-5).
No matter the nation you live in, or the circumstances in which you find yourself in 2024, all indications are that we are entering a challenging and tumultuous year. There is much at stake in the global-power takeover attempts by the kingdom of darkness.

As followers of Jesus, our faith and commitment to live solely for Him and fully honor His Word may be greatly tested – perhaps in as yet unseen ways, especially in the western world of North America.

There are many possible scenarios being proposed – politically, economically and otherwise – that can seem to hold out some kind of hope. But the truth is, there is no hope that we can rest in or count on apart from the Person of Jesus and His unchanging and unconquerable work at the Cross (Jn 1:1-5).

The people of the world who are without Jesus as Savior are the ones who are truly without hope (Eph 2:12). Everything apart from Christ that they hope in, or hope for, is doomed to disappoint. That is why our full-hearted hope in the Lord will be a blazing testimony to all around us as it cuts through their hopeless darkness.

We are called to be “vessels of hope,” ready to spill out the love of God, the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, and a solid-rock stance on His unchanging Word to any and all whom we encounter.

Please take some time to mediate on the verses above from Romans Chapter 5. When you do, may the Spirit of God press into your heart and mind the amazing and unshakable grounds for our great Hope! And may you be filled to overflowing with all that our precious Savior has given to us, ready to be poured out to the hopeless around you in 2024!

PRAYER THIS MONTH

1. ISRAEL AND UKRAINE
Please continue to pray for a swift conclusion to the armed violence in these nations. Pray for minimal loss of life, and for the Gospel to be spread regardless of religious backgrounds.

2. CANADA
Ever-increasing socialist ideology in the Canadian government has singled out Christianity as officially, “toxic, repressive and racist.” This is obviously a twisted lie of the devil being perpetuated by those given over to evil and darkness. Pray for a change in government leadership, exposure of corruption and wickedness in high places, and for Christians to arise in both prayer and action to resist the encroaching persecution and oppression. And continue to pray for an outpouring of God’s Spirit and a clear Gospel message to be preached to the lost – for we know that nothing truly changes until hearts are changed by the power of the living God!

3. U.S. ELECTIONS
The trend toward Marxist-style socialism is becoming increasingly evident, along with secularization leading to moral confusion and chaos. This, combined with much division, deception and corruption, point to a year of unrest.

Please pray for peace, order and righteousness in this election year. Pray for voter fraud and election corruption to be exposed and thwarted. Pray against demonic spirits driving violence and mindless hatred. But most of all, pray for revival fire to come and sweep over the churches and people of the United States.

4. WORLD MAP
• There are numerous opportunities in multiple nations open to us in 2024 for WMAP Equipping Seminars. Please pray with us as we continue to seek the Lord for His specific direction in 2024.

Shepherd’s Staff orders and shipments are still in progress this month. Thanks for praying as you are led, in order that every single book arrives to its intended destination!

• An exciting development! Work will soon begin on even more language version translations of The Shepherd’s Staff. These will be headed to nations hostile to the Gospel, so we cannot reveal the languages at this time. But please be praying for accurate and swift completion of these translations this year – and safety for all those involved in this important work.

Conclusion

“My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.”

We stand on Christ the Solid Rock. He alone gives the hope that will never disappoint, fail or fade away.

Hoping in Him with you,
Dr. Frank and Wendy Parrish,
